It's exciting times here at Allebasi Design! You might have noticed that I’ve been quiet on the blogging front lately and it’s all within good reason! I took some time off to reflect on what I wanted my blog to be. I went through my old posts (and I set up an archives page) and I noticed that my voice wasn’t coming through in the posts.
I want this blog to be an extension of myself and for that to happen, I have to share pieces of myself that make me, me. This means other than the helpful posts, you’ll be reading more about the behind-the-scenes and I’ll be sharing nit-bits on my life. Hopefully, by doing that, you will get to know me more as the person behind the Allebasi brand.
So what have I been up to? Some of you know that I have recently moved back to Johannesburg (I’m on my second month here!) and I was adjusting to my new place and setting up my home office which was a lengthy but exciting process and I’ll be sharing some behind-the-scenes photos here as well. I love seeing photos of the work spaces of other creatives and I’ve been gauging a little inspiration from Pinterest as well so I’m excited about sharing mine!
Since it’s Spring time here in South Africa, I embarked on a little spring cleaning project on the website which you may have noticed. I did a long overdue photoshoot and put up some of the shots on here. I also completely reworked my landing page to actually give visitors a more comprehensive idea of what I do (the first one wasn’t really attuned to my brand and did little to enlighten visitors about what I do) and hopefully capture their interest long enough for them to visit the blog and spend some time here.
During my time away I spent a lot of time (seriously, a LOT) reading other creatives’ blogs and I have learnt so much. It is amazing the things I have learnt and I hope that someday my blog would be a place of value for other creatives’ when they need help. I’m keen to connect with these other bloggers and grow with them. Exciting times!
My business and blog are fairly new and they will always be a work in progress. I’m always up for improvements that will make your user experience much more awesome. I’d love my site to be a cool place where people go to unwind, learn something and connect with others; sort of like a little cozy hipster bar or coffee shop, haha.
To celebrate Spring and the my little spring cleaning, I’m running a 30% off promotion on my brand and website design services so if you’re in need of a well-designed brand identity and website, visit my services page to be first in line to take advantage of this promotion. Hurry though, because I’m only taking on 4 bookings. :D
What do you think of my little website spring cleaning? Yay or nay? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
